Gift Certificates

A commissioned family history is a personal and memorable gift – the perfect present for someone special.  Unlike most gifts, it is unique to the person you give it to and their family, making it an ideal gift for Christmas.

Irish Family History Research Gift Certificate – from €90
A bespoke research plan and research report

This gift certificate entitles the recipient to an assessment of their Irish Family History and commissioned research where possible.*

We will send you or the recipient a personalised gift certificate and a Family Profile form which should be completed with as much information as they know about the Irish ancestor they want to trace. Once we have received the completed form, an Eneclann genealogist will review their information and prepare a profile of the recipient’s family history. Where possible, they will lay out a research plan listing all the relevant documentary sources.

This gift certificate includes commissioned research that can be purchased at increments of €90, €200 and €360. Research will be undertaken by an Eneclann genealogist and written up into a report to keep and share with the rest of the family.

To order an Irish Family History Research gift certificate please email genealogy@eneclann.ie, remembering to include your name, email and/or phone number so we can contact you regarding who to send the certificate to.  One of our team will get back to you to discuss further.

* Please note that because every family is unique, we cannot be sure to what extent we will be able to trace a family until we have received the completed Family Profile form. We will only recommend research where we think there is a reasonable chance of tracing your ancestor and their family.

‘I had the idea of commissioning Eneclann to research Dad’s family history as his seventieth birthday present…When I suggested it to him he said it would be absolutely fantastic…it was the best gift we could have given him!’ Niav Gallagher, Dublin

‘Eneclann traced my father’s family history for his sixtieth birthday. What I liked about the research was that I wasn’t just finding facts, but understanding how people lived…My dad has got three brothers and a sister, so they all got copies and then my granddad had a look at it as well – they were delighted. I think it’s a lovely gift for a birthday or other celebration. It is lovely to see where you come from.’ Katrina Mooney, Dublin
