About the Project
The project team identified Griffith’s Valuation source material, going on to image, and index entries which were subsequently published online at www.irishorigins.com. The project ran from 2002 to 2003 and took 9 months to complete

Eneclann’s Role
Eneclann, working in partnership with OMS Services in the UK, digitised over 30,000 pages of typed and handwritten archival material, dating from 1847 to 1864, containing 1.4 million entries.
The scanned images were 1-bit (bitonal) captured from new 35mm microfilm generated by the National Library. The images were saved as TIF files using CCITT Group IV compression (54Kb).
