Dublin City Archaeological Archive

In 2009, Eneclann were engaged to undertake an important archival project for the newly formed Dublin City Archaeological Archive. The archive, the first of its type in the country, is housed in the Dublin City Library and Archive and consists of all textual archaeological records from private archaeological companies relating to archaeological projects in Dublin City. Eneclann archivists spent a number of months in the library processing the collections deposited from the archaeological companies on a custom designed database, which became the template for all future finding aids in the archive.  Also a presentation on the project and on preparing archaeological collections for deposit to the Dublin City Archaeological Archive was given to members of the Institute of Archaeologists.
