Heritage Week 2012

To celebrate Heritage Week 2012 Eneclann and findmypast.ie will be holding a special family history research day on Thursday 23rd August at the National Print Museum.

This free family history research day is being held on Thursday 23rd from 10 am to 5pm at the National Print Museum, Beggar’s Bush Barracks off the Haddington Road in Dublin 4. It’s a ticketless event, so no need to book anything, just turn up on the day!

We’re preparing an action packed line-up – you should expect look-ups at findmypast.ie, free advice from Eneclann’s genealogy team and a fascinating series of short talks from family history experts:

12noon Eileen Ó Dúill, Professional Genealogist, Irish Births, Marriages and Death Records for Beginners

1pm Cliona Weldon, findmypast Ireland, Using Findmypast to Trace Your Family History

2pm Jennifer Doyle, Eneclann, Using Newspapers to Trace Your Family History

3pm Paul Manzor, Eneclann, Family History Records Online

Added to this is the fact that this free family history day is being held in the National Print Museum, where you can learn all about the Irish printing craft and its history, making it a great day out.  Add it to your plans for Heritage Week 2012 now!

Please be aware though that no off street car parking is available at the National Print Museum/in Beggar’s Bush barracks and there is no wheelchair access to the family history area. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
